America's Orchestra will honor America's greatest living musical theatre composer with an all-new tribute celebrating his remarkable body of work. Hearing the range of his music-from the scores of Follies, Sweeney Todd, and Into the Woods, to the lyrics of West Side Story andGypsy-performed by a full symphonic orchestra, is a rare treat. Broadway stars Kate Baldwin and Jason Danieley and fellows of the Tanglewood Music Center, students of the renowned BSO training ground for emerging professional musicians, will join the orchestra to bring Sondheim's remarkable music to life.As noted by WCRB, on June 15 there will be a repeat of last week's broadcast/webstream. This week's concert will be rerun on June 22.
